PHOTOS BY MICHELLE SIU / OAKVILLE BEAVER French gospel, soul and jazz musician Yoann Freget is doing a tour in Canada this fall, with a stop in Oakville on Saturday, Sept, 18. The tour is titled Awakening Gospels. The performer has been a musician since a young age, doing gospel music, perform- ing with gospel and mass choirs. By the age of 15 he became a soloist with the choirs. He also later joined R&B, soul and other gospel groups and now he directs a gospel choir of his own. He will perform for free at downtown Oakvilles Centennial Square from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Centennial Square is located at the southwest corner of Navy and Randall Streets.
