The Oakville atom A Rangers won the championship at a recent tour- nament in Richmond Hill, going undefeated in their five games. Oakville clinched the gold with a 4-2 victory over the Stouffville Clippers, a team it had played to a 1- 1 draw earlier in the tournament. The Rangers won their other three games and finished the tour- nament with only five goals allowed in their five contests. The Grade 11 St. Thomas Aquinas student won the senior girls race, finishing in 15 minutes and 33 seconds to edge Westdale Secondarys Jessica Witt by a second. Abbey Parks Evelyne Guay turned in a second-place finish in her first-ever high school race, completing the midget girls course in 7:50, nine seconds off the pace of Westdales Natalie Stacey, Westdale Secondary. Eagles teammate David Watson finished fourth in the junior boys race. Alex Ratcliffe (sixth) and Brigit ONeil (seventh) helped the Loyola Hawks midget girls team earn a sec- ond-place finish. Loyola was edged 63-64 by Westdale. Also contributing to Loyolas showing were Isabella Borea (15th) and Emma Neilson (36th). T.A. Blakelock also got a pair of top-10 showings to finish second in the senior boys division. Berkin Cetin was eighth, followed closely by teammate Thomas Paterson in ninth.
