Volunteer Award - Te Nguyen: A graduating high school student, Te gave great time and effort to the club he coached. He coached all aspects of team play and gave freely of his time three days a week. Oakville Speed Skating Club Athlete Award - Sean McAnuff: One of the longest-standing members of the club, Sean has been one of the best skaters in his class every year. He was the holder of the clubs peewee 111- metre distance record for the past five years. Sean is also the Ontario Age Class overall champion and was second overall at the national champi- onships, winning the 333m race while earning sil- ver in the 500m and 666m distances as well as the 1,500m relay. Athlete Award - Anaka Will-Dryden: In her fifth season with the club, Anaka has already devel- oped into one of the top young female speed skaters in the country. She is continually ranked in the top three in her age class at provincials and has finished in the top three in various distances at North American and Canadian championship meets. Coach Award - Kelly Brennan: A member of the club virtually since its incep- tion, Kelly was always a key role model for the clubs female skaters as a skater and competitor. Now, as a coach with Level 2 certifica- tion, Kelly has helped devel- op many provincially- ranked Oakville members. She is always accessible, helping other coaches with teaching strategies or filling in for coaches if they are away. Skate Oakville Athlete Award - Jenna Rolland-Mills: Jenna has been skating with Skate Oakville since the age of three. She has developed and progressed to the point where she finished fifth at the 2010 BMO Central Ontario Sectional Championships, then won her division at the Boston Pizza STARSkate Championships. Jenna was fifth at the 2010 Homesense Trillium STARSkate Championships, an all-Ontario meet. She is also supportive of her teammates and displays her passion for skating both on and off the ice. Coach Award - Robin Miller-Bush: A former competitive skater with the Oakville Skating Club, Robin turned to coaching and hasnt looked back. She has coached all levels, from pre-school to competitive skaters and power skating. Despite having a busy schedule and two young daughters, Robin always finds time to speak to parents to share information and knowledge. Volunteer Award - Sherry Seymour: Sherry volun- teers at many club events, including taking a key role at the 2010 BMO Central Ontario Sectional Championships that Skate Oakville hosted last November. She attends club sessions on a regular basis, helping members with information and providing assistance, and volunteered freely at the clubs gala and club competition. Sport Oakville Volunteer Award - Art Walford: Art has volun- teered tirelessly for many years on behalf of Oavilles sporting community.
