- In June 2010, the Town of Oakville asked interested area history groups for street name suggestions for the developing urban growth in northern Oakville. To correlate the present day Oakville town grid with the historic Trafalgar and Halton Township surveys, Oakville's Heritage Planner prepared this map. Suggested street names could include:
- names of previous owners of the land
- names of previous tenants of the land
- names of river or creek systems within the area
- names associated with any other geographic feature that is specific to that area (ie. if there is/was a a deep ravine, a name could be Ravine Street)
- names associated with any historical event, activity or theme that is specific to that area (ie. if there was a sawmill on the site, a name could be Sawmill Street. - Notes
- The identification on each lot is the Concession number in Roman numeral followed by lot number. E.g. "I-35" is Concession 1, Lot 35. "II-30" is Concession 2, Lot 30.
