Now that the bus option has been literally removed, I am finding that I am missing appointments because I simply cannot afford to get to them anymore. There must be others out there who also feel this way. Something needs to be done. Our tax dol- lars help fund the public transit systems (and yet, we still have to pay when we board the bus... go figure), so I feel that the system should at least be working for us. The old transfer system was absolutely fine getting a city-appropriate new trans- fer when boarding a different city or town's bus at the city limits was working just fine. The government says it is "standardizing transit. How so? It is only making life more difficult for the people who pay for and depend upon the sys- tems in place. My opinion is, dont fix what isnt broken. So, then, who will dare to make a change? We have an election coming up this year. Maybe it might not be such a bad idea for one of the representatives (from any party) to repair this faulted system... I know that they would certainly be getting my vote if they did.
