On Saturday, Oct. 22, Oak-Land Ford Lincoln is bringing several of its vehicles to the school as part of Ford's Drive One 4 UR School program in hopes of raising as much as $6,000 for the school's robotics team. Every person who test-drives a Ford vehicle at Holy Trinity will yield a $20 donation from Oak-Land Ford Lincoln and Ford Canada. "We know how important a robotics program is for kids to understand technology better, so as part of this community we want to help," said Randy Winterle, sales manager at Oak-Land Ford Lincoln. "This is why we're excited to raise money for Holy Trinity's robotics program, meanwhile introducing parents and other drivers to our high-quality line-up and innovative safety technologies." Since the start of Drive One 4 UR School in 2010, more than 25,000 test-drives at over 160 events have generated more than $460,000 in donations for high schools and organizations in Canada. Participants must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver's licence. There is a limit of one test-drive per household. The event will be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and will feature the Ford Focus, Fiesta, Mustang, Edge, Explorer, F-150 and other available models. Holy Trinity is at 2420 Sixth Line.
