All kids age 10 and under still have time to participate in Santa's Spooktacular Halloween Scavenger Hunt in Kerr Village. In order to participate: · download a Spooktacular Scavenger Hunt card from www.kerrvillage.ca or www. oakvillesantaclausparade.ca. · bring your card to the stores listed ­ during normal business hours ­ and find the picture of Santa. · return your marked card to the Santa Claus Parade tent in Heritage Square ­ corner of Kerr and Florence ­ between 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29. Participants are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to closing day festivities. There will be free face painting, popcorn and family-friendly entertainment. Participants can sing along with legendary children's musical talent Douglas John Cameron. Scavenger hunt winners will be drawn at random at 4 p.m. One child (age 3-5) will light the Christmas tree in Kerr Village on Friday, Nov. 18. Two children (age six-10) will ride in the window of Santa's float and one child will ride in the Mayor's VIP vehicle in the Oakville Santa Claus Parade on Saturday, Nov. 19. Winners need not be present at the time of the draw. Winners will also receive two tickets each to an Oakville performance of Cinderella.
