The initiative will provide gifts to lonely seniors in the community, utilizing tags that hang from the Christmas tree in the newspaper office's reception area. Each tag bears a request from a senior's wish list. Receptionist Helena Chartrand is pictured here decorating the tree adorned with The Children of Christmas Past tags. To sponsor a senior this Christmas, visit the Beaver office at 467 Speers Rd., and grab a tag. Purchase the gift, wrap it and tape the tag onto the gift and bring it to the Beaver office by Dec. 16. However, it's recommended gifts be brought in by Dec. 12 to allow time for delivery set-ups. "Everyone deserves a reason to smile during the holiday season -- no matter what age you are.
