Initial reports said an Oakville man had called Halton police to report his car window had been shot out, prompting a brief closure on the Queen Elizabeth Way Friday afternoon as police investigated. The man told officials he was near Burloak Drive and Lakeshore Road just after 2 p.m. when he saw his car window shot out and a vehicle drive away. That vehicle was later stopped on the westbound QEW near Walkers Line in Burlington, police said. Though it was determined no gunshots were fired, three other men were arrested in connection to what police are now calling an attempted kidnapping. Police said it was not a random incident, but the relationship between the three suspects and the victim, 38, was not immediately known. Frank Ormano Aceti, 36, of Niagara Falls has been charged with attempted kidnapping while using a firearm and four additional weapons charges. Joshua Leslie Burnett, 34, of Thorold, Ontario has been charged with attempted kidnapping while using a firearm and two other weapons charges. A third man, 35-year-old Christopher Frank Marrazzo of Crystal Beach, Ontario has been charged with attempted kidnapping while using a firearm and one additional weapons charge.
