"They could have said to me, `This isn't really what this money is for. It is for additional ice or tournaments', but when I explained this trust fund was set up for these boys' education and their activities and their care they said, `That sounds like a great use for the money'," said McCrory. "They were just so good about this. They waived the bank fees to do it. There are a lot of negative things out there, but there are a lot of good people still left who want to help." Another positive development was Joshua's return to hockey on Friday. McCrory said Joshua's guardian told her Joshua was anxious to come back and play for his team, something McCrory and the rest of the team were happy to hear. "When he came in the room the coach said, `Hey guys, Josh is here'," said McCrory. "They all turned and there was just this collective cheer." McCrory said Joshua played well that night and said he also attended practice on Sunday. "He's a great kid," she said. "He's our most improved player and we were worried that if he didn't come back, we'd have to find another MVP to give the award to. So we are very happy that he has returned to play." Grief counsellors have been in touch with the team's administrators and parents to give them pointers on how to answer their children's questions about what occurred Jan. 12.
