HICKSON, Linda It is with deep sadness that on January 24, 2012 Linda, in her 68th year, passed away at her home surrounded by family after a valiant battle with cancer. Dearly loved wife of Gary for 44 years and cherished mother of Sherri (Lou), Debbie (Steve) and Bill. Dear sister of Peg (Mike) and Bob (Diane). Daughter of the late William and Irene MacNair. A devoted and loving grandmother to Chas, Victoria, Emma, Kayleigh, Lauren and Jacob. Much loved by many nieces, nephews, her extended family and friends. She was the anchor of our family and her joyous spirit will always be remembered. She dedicated over 25 years volunteering with Special Olympics as head coach and council member. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 27 from 2-4:30 pm and 7-9pm at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens, 3164 Ninth Line in Oakville. A celebration and thanksgiving for Linda's life will be held 2 pm on Saturday, January 28 at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens, w i t h a r e c e p t i o n t o f o l l o w.
