"I'm not glad it's over," Edgar said. "I'm graduating. I've had so much fun playing HT sports, especially soccer." Her teammates, the ones who had run up and down the pitch for the equivalent of seven games in three days, likely disagreed with Edgar's first sentiment. "I was so tired," Wynter admitted. "But so happy after it's done." -- Jon Kuiperij can be followed on Twitter @Beaversports TO THE VICTOR GO THE SPOILS: The Holy Trinity Titans pose with the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations quad-A girls' soccer championship banner and trophy after winning the provincial tournament Saturday at Pine Glen Park. King's Christian boys win single-A OFSAA soccer title District. Dylan Agnew broke a 1-1 tie with 15 minutes left in the final, scoring from near the sideline and well outside of the 18-yard box. Ramez Nossier had the Cavaliers' other goal in the final. Anthony Sossa had a team-high six goals in the tournament for King's, which also won the OFSAA single-A championship in 2008. More coverage of the Cavs' win will appear in tomorrow's (Thursday's) edition of the Beaver. Tough tournaments for STA The St. Thomas Aquinas soccer teams didn't enjoy similar success to the Trinity girls and King's Christian boys, however. Both the Raiders' boys' and girls' teams were eliminated from their respective double-A competitions before the semifinals began. The Aquinas boys got off to a great start in North Bay, winning their competitive pool with a 2-1-1 record in the preliminary round, but the ninth-seeded Raiders were edged 3-2 in overtime by St. Andrew's College in the quarter-finals. St. Andrew's went on to earn silver. The Raiders girls were the third seed at their competition in St. Thomas, but a 1-2-1 record in pool play was not enough for Aquinas to advance to the playoffs.
