Gord Nixon to speak at 58th annual chamber gala Gord Nixon, president and CEO of RBC, will answer questions about Canada's economy at the Oakville Chamber of Commerce's Annual Chair's Dinner on Sept. 18. The gala will be held at the Oakville Conference Centre at Wyecroft and Bronte roads. "We are honoured to host Mr. Nixon," said Chamber Chair Wendy Rinella. "Having the leader of Canada's largest financial institution come to Oakville to answer questions of interest to our members, their guests and the community at large is a rare opportunity." The Oakville woman's chairmanship is drawing to a close. "It has been a remarkable year for the Oakville Chamber. Under the leadership of Wendy Rinella, the chamber's membership levels, revenue and event attendance have increased. In addition, Wendy has been instrumental in guiding the chamber's advocacy initiatives," said Chamber President John Sawyer. "The chair's dinner and Mr. Nixon's visit will be a fitting tribute to Wendy for the outstanding leadership she has provided to the chamber." This will be the chamber's 58th annual Chair's Dinner. The gala event is the inauguration of the chamber's incoming chair. Members of the public are invited to attend.
