Geared up athletes pull Ford trucks at competition Kennedy Ford Sales Limited played a starring sponsorship role in a recent Masters CrossfFt competition, where male and female athletes aged 40 and up competed at Transition CrossFit in Oakville. As the world's fastest growing fitness craze, CrossFit uses constantly varied functional movement performed at high intensity to achieve better than average results. In the United States, the annual CrossFit Games saw athletes participate in four days of workouts to determine the winner of the coveted fittest in the world title, and a $250,000 prize. Transition CrossFit Master Mettle event drew participants ranging in age from 40 to 62 years of age from all over Ontario. As the participants competed in four CrossFit style workouts, Transition CrossFit owners Matthew Bennett and Paul Ferri added a wrinkle to the competition: requiring finalists to pull either a 2013 Ford Escape or a 2012 Ford F150, supplied by Kennedy Ford Sales Limited, as far as possible in 30 seconds before moving on to the rest of the workout. Other event sponsors included Second Cup Coffee, Marble Meats, Reevolve Clothing, Maclean Physiotherapy, Popeye's Nutrition and River Oaks Chiropractic.
