Halton police reported the incident began around 1 a.m., when a man was asked by the club's private security to leave. Instead, the man allegedly pulled a knife and began threatening the security personnel. Despite attempts by friends to coax the man to leave, he was reportedly still present when police arrived. Police reported officers used a Taser in making an arrest. Fraudulent reporting scam arrests A 49-year-old Oakville man is facing charges in connection with a scam involving the alleged fraudulent reporting of stolen vehicles. On Jan. 15, a man contacted Halton police to report the theft of his 2009 Toyota Camry from an auto auction. An investigation resulted in the recovery of the vehicle at a Mississauga storage facility. Police allege the vehicle had been placed at the facility before it was reported stolen. Investigation led police to an Oakville auto body shop. Acting on a search warrant, police seized additional stolen property. Detectives from Milton arrested two men on Feb. 28. Mohamed Azeez, 49, of Oakville has been charged with fraud and possession of stolen property. Pawan Sharma, 51, of Milton has been charged with fraud and public mischief.
