Frustrated thief smashes television Halton police are looking for the suspect responsible for a break-in to a Stocksbridge Avenue home Wednesday (March 20). Police said the culprit forced their way in through the front door sometime between noon and 4:30 p.m. Once inside, the suspect went to the bedroom and stole jewelry. A laptop computer was also taken. The intruder attempted to remove a large flat-screen T.V., but was not successful. The suspect did smash a bottle of alcohol on the television before leaving. After police were called to the scene, a police dog attempted to track the suspect, but was unsuccessful. Given the intruder's attempt to remove the large television, police believe the culprit had a vehicle in the area. The homeowners were not present during the break-in. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Oakville Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4747, ext. 2215 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). 5 | Friday, March 22, 2013 | OAKVILLE BEAVER | www.insideHALTON.com After fifty years of good morning and good night kisses...
