OPL announces `Power of Words' contest-winning quote O akville Public Library is excited to announce the Power of Words contest winning quote. Customers were asked to provide a favorite poem, stanza, lyric or quote that has had a positive impact on their life. The contest was communicated via our website and social media outlets and the response showed an engaged audience who enjoyed participating and sharing their interpretation of the `power of words'. Oakville community members sent us their favourites and our own library staff has chosen the winning quote: "The more things that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." -- Dr. Seuss. This popular quote from well-known children's author Dr. Seuss will appear on our Oakville Public Library café-style mugs.
