SHAVER, Donald Ian It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Shaver on April 9, 2013 in his 95th year. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife Helen, his son Mark, his daughter Stephanie, his sister Marjorie and his brother Harold. He will be fondly remembered by his children Jim (Madeleine), Vicki (Mike), Pam (Russ) and Bil; his grandchildren Ben, Sam, Dan, Chris, Dan, Jocelyn, Joshua and Jordan; his niece Kathy (Bob); his nephews Don (Barbara), Jon and Patrick (Shannon); and his sister-inlaw Carole (Michael). Don was a veteran of WWII, a long-time employee of Ford Motor Company and an active member of Hopedale Presbyterian Church for many years. Don's passions included gardening, the family cottage and the Toronto Blue Jays. The family would sincerely like to thank the staff at Fairhaven Home (Peterborough) for the wonderful care and comfort they provided to Don for the past 2 years.
