The exhibit is a special project by the Ontario Network of Needleworkers (ONN) and sponsored by the Wellington County Museum and Archives (WCMA). This is the project's first stop along a three-year exhibition circuit throughout Ontario. The theme of the show is water and the juried entries were based on the subject. The show includes 34 pieces, selected out of 170 entries. People will be able to buy a catalogue of all chosen entries, including award winners in eight categories. The exhibit is open for one month, closing on July 28. The gallery is located at 1086 Burnhamthorpe Rd. E. It's open Tuesday to Sunday from 1-4 p.m. For more information, visit www.joshuacreekarts.com. Evorglens and friends play at Monaghan's Oakville musician Darren Evorglens is bringing his friends along for a performance at Monaghan's Sports Pub and Grill Saturday (June 29). The show will include Sarah Jordan, Amanie Illfated, John Welsh, Carolyn Booth, Belle Mathews and Maya Spring. Evorglens performs hits from the 1950s, '60s and '70s, including music by Elvis Presley, Tom Jones, Neil Diamond and more. Monaghan's is located at 1289 Marlborough Ct. The show runs from 7-10 p.m. There is no cover charge. The world-touring photography exhibit Chronicles of Future's Past is currently on display in Oakville. Pictured here at a ceremony along one of the stops of the exhibit at OakvilleTrafalgar Memorial Hospital are Tom Ahlin, vice president of iCare Home Health Services, Dr. Evelyn Kallen, a social rights activist, and Rick Menassa, president of iCare Home Health Services. The exhibit was at the hospital earlier this month and is now at the Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre, 2302 Bridge Rd., where it continues through Thursday (June 27). The exhibit was brought to Oakville by iCare in collaboration with the Sheridan College Elder Research Centre.
