- Description
- Handwritten on this 1906 photograph is "Blood Street, Palermo". According to the 2008 report by Heritage Consultant T. Murison, "Heritage Building Investigation Report ; Benjamin Smith House Palermo, Ontario #2488 Bronte Road (Old Hwy. 25) Part of Lot 31, Concession 1 South of Dundas" Blood Street was Bronte Road and this photograph is looking south along Bronte Road towards Dundas Street.
On the right, there seems to be the shadow of the general store with the squared false front. If you look closely, there is a man pushing a wheelbarrow towards the foundry on the left. - Notes
