Forty volunteers are required by Conservation Halton and the Field and Stream Rescue Team to plant trees and shrubs along the banks of Fourteen Mile Creek to create a riparian corridor. The corridor is a plant community that consists of vegetation growing near a natural body of water. Volunteers are asked to prepare for the weather, wear hiking or work boots and bring water. "This tree planting is an important component of the ongoing restoration work taking place in Glenorchy Conservation Area," said Jeff Stock from Conservation Halton. Glenorchy Conservation Area is bounded by Regional Rd. 25, Highway 407, Neyagawa Boulevard and Dundas Street in north Oakville.
