Ward 2 Town Councillor Pam Damoff was terrified three years ago when she made the decision to dip, and didn't want to do it alone. So, she recruited a small team to join her, which included former Toronto Rock coach Troy Cordingley. As it turned out, she had a great time, and has already entered her team for the 2014 Dip. Last year, the team grew in size as Ward 2 Town and Regional Councillor Cathy Duddeck joined and took the plunge, along with members of the Toronto Rock, three Canadian Football League (CFL) players and a group of `crazy' friends. As the team has grown, so too has the amount money they have raised for water projects supported by World Vision. "I honestly thought I would never be brave enough to go in. But since the dip takes place in my ward, I thought I should get out there to support it," said Damoff. "I had a blast, and really look forward to it now." The study is being carried out in accordance with the requirements of a Schedule C project as outlined in the Municipal Engineers Association (MEA) Municipal Class EA document (October 2000, as amended in 2007 and 2011), which is an approved process under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.
