St. Thomas Aquinas won the open boys' division, with Georgetown claiming the rest of the girls', boys' and overall titles in the junior, senior and open divisions as well as the overall meet crown. Oakville boasted the other top-five finishers in the team point standings. Oakville Trafalgar (726 points) was a distant second to Georgetown (1,546), followed by Aquinas (616), Iroquois Ridge (590.5) and T.A. Blakelock (497). Abbey Park was seventh (401), Garth Webb was ninth (312) and White Oaks was 10th (249). Though Georgetown dominated the team point standings, Oakville entries combined to win 25 individual or relay events. Quincy Brozo (women's 50-metre free, 100m butterfly), Panos Papangelakiws (men's 100m free, 200m free) and Jess Oswald (women's 16-and-over 50m fly, 100m individual medley) led Aquinas with two individual golds each. Philip Mirek (mixed 100m freestyle para) won the Raiders' other individual gold, and Aquinas added a relay win in the open men's 200m medley (Tyler Wisner, Eric Hopkins, Panos Papangelakiws, George Papangelakiws). MOHA announces AAA rep coaches for 2014-15 season The Minor Oaks Hockey Association recently announced the selections of six of its nine AAA rep coaches for the 2014-15 season. Coaches announced include Fab De Rango (novice), Jaan Luik (minor atom), Richard Holder (minor bantam), Roy Gringmuth (bantam), Tom Daley (minor midget) and Mike Bentivegna (midget). De Rango, Holder and Gringmuth will be moving up an age division with their current teams. Luik is coaching the minor peewee AAA Rangers this season, and Daley is working with the minor midget AAA Rangers. MOHA vice-president of rep Graham Burton said coaches of the atom, minor peewee and peewee AAA teams will likely be announced next week. A teams in same divisions will be balanced The MOHA also recently announced it will once again feature two rep teams in many A divisions of the Tri-County Minor Hockey League next season. However, unlike this year's pilot program when the Red team was selected before the Blue team, a draft process will be used to ensure the two teams are balanced as much as possible. "Oakville Red vs. Oakville Blue games were, arguably, some of the best hockey played this season," stated an MOHA release. "However, with one team being selected prior to the other, perhaps the only negative of the programming pilot was the animosity between the two teams.
