From Mad Science CHEM-MYSTERY programs, for children aged five to 12, and Mystic Drumming workshops (aged six to 12) to a free Fairy Tale Ball (aged three and up), a magic show and puppets, too (both for children aged four to 12). There's something for all curious kids starting Monday, March 10 through Friday, March 14. Those looking to lay low over the break will love the library's newest digital resource -- Hoopla. Library cardholders are now able to stream three full-length movies or TV shows each month. By downloading the Hoopla app or logging in on the library website, users can browse from thousands of popular titles for all ages. The best part -- there are no holds, which means no waiting. The library is excited to announce this addition as it complements the existing collection of popular, digital offerings: free music and eBook downloads, digital magazines and audiobooks. Following March Break, some of the library's new and exciting preschool-aged programs begin -- namely Alphabeasties and Science Kids, both for children aged three-five. These un-parented programs occur over 11 weeks and focus on school-readiness while inspiring a lifelong love of learning through hands-on fun with art and the magic of science. Alphabeasties participants will take home a creation inspired by the alphabet each week while little scientists will get to create their own simple (and messy) experiments during each class. For toddlers aged one-and-a-half to twoand-a-half, Explore `N Play is sure to delight with sensory activities as well as rhymes, songs and stories that promote the development of language, observation and reading skills.
