The boy, whose name has not been released, remains at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children. He is expected to make a full recovery, police said yesterday (Wednesday). "This is just really great news," said Marnie Denton, Halton District School Board Communications Manager, who con rmed Jack is a Grade 4 student at Emily Carr Public School. "We are all very, very happy to receive that information today." A call for council to seek reversal of the Canada Post decision was made by Ward 6 Councillor Tom Adams and Ward 1 Town and Regional Councillor Alan Johnston at Monday's council meeting. The proposed motion, to be voted on by councillors May 26, would have council approach the federal government and direct Canada Post to maintain the current system of residential door-to-door postal delivery in Canada. The motion also requests the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) be contacted for its support and that copies of the council resolution be sent to the FCM, Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO), Halton Region, City of Burlington, Town of Milton, Town of Halton Hills, local MPs, MPPs and Canada Post.
