The Toronto Lynx Soccer Club will play a number of its United Soccer League PDL and W-League home games at Sheridan College's recently-modernized campus stadium. The Lynx's regular home field, Centennial Park Stadium in Etobicoke, will have limited accessibility this season as it is refurbished in preparation for the Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games. The Lynx and Oakville Soccer Club have a long-term relationship and both parties pledge to work together to ensure local soccer enthusiasts take advantage of this opportunity to watch PDL soccer in their own town. OSC players will be granted free admission to Lynx home games when wearing their OSC jerseys. "We are thrilled to have the Lynx and Lady Lynx playing here in Oakville, and are excited to have our players involved in game-day activities and experiencing the energy and talent at this level of play," said OSC executive director Dave Harris. The Lynx will play six games at Sheridan: May 18 versus Kitchener-Waterloo, June 4 versus London, June 8 versus Chicago, June 15 versus Michigan, June 25 versus London and July 16 versus Kitchener-Waterloo. The Lady Lynx will play its home opener at Sheridan Sunday, May 25 against 2013 league finalist Laval, and will also be at Sheridan July 5 versus London. "As a long-time Oakville resident, I am thrilled that we have managed to find such an excellent location to resolve our stadium issues for the upcoming season," said Lynx Academy director and head coach Duncan Wilde. "Sheridan College has been fantastic to work with." Rosters for both the Lynx and Lady Lynx are expected to be released this week. Both squads have featured several Oakville players in the past.
