From a Mother's Day Drop-in program to Family Movie Nights, the library is thrilled to offer recreational programs that encourage play, creativity, collaboration and imagination. Some highlights from spring program schedule include: · Mother's Day Drop-in (Saturday, May 10): children aged ve years and older with a caregiver are invited to join library staff for a fun, crafty afternoon at Glen Abbey Branch. Participants will receive a tote bag to decorate for mom. The drop-in runs from 1-3 p.m. Space is limited, so arrive early for a spot. · Little Maker (Registration open for sessions beginning in June): participants will construct, create and collaborate on creations ranging from musical instruments to murals and puppets. This parented program is for children aged two to ve. Spots available in ongoing sessions at Glen Abbey, Central, Iroquois Ridge and Woodside branches. Cost for the six-week long program is $42. · Family Movie Nights continue (next showing ­ May 26): each month at Central Branch, pre-released movies are shown on the library's big screen. Kids are encouraged to bring blankets, pillows and stuffed animals ­ chairs are provided for the adults. Tickets cost $5/ person or $20/family of ve and can be purchased at all branches two weeks prior to the showing or at the door. Popcorn and juice are sold for 50 cents each. Past screenings included Frozen, The Nut Job and Planes ­ check the library's website, Facebook or Twitter pages for the next title reveal.
