He was predeceased by his mother Florence Jamieson, father Frederick Durham, and sister Constance. He is survived by his beloved wife Cathy Lee Farley (Waterloo), his four children (with ex-wife Elizabeth Durham): Jerry Durham, Susan Gibbons (Terry), Nancy Durham (Bill), Cathy Shoebridge (Glenn). Warren was loved by his six grandchildren: Nicola, Shawn, Sarah, Jennifer, Rebecca and Jessica, as well as six great-grandchildren: Amber, Joel, Natalie, Riley, Cotter and Liam. Warren is also survived by his dearly loved cousin Helen Hale (California). In his youth, Warren was a swimming champion, and head lifeguard on the Toronto waterfront - and that love of water eventually led him to become a keen sailor. He served during WWII as an RCAF flight instructor, after which he became a lawyer, a director of legal aid in Oakville, and a respected Ontario Provincial Court judge. He shared with all who knew him so many of his values and gifts: a delightful sense of humour, passionate belief in truth and honesty, love of nature, sense of adventure, support for the underdog, respect for our fellow man, and a sense of justice for all. We wish to thank the staff of the Leisureworld Care Centre in Elmira who gave Warren and his family tremendous care, support and kindness throughout his stay.
