- Reverse-Oakville's historic Customs House, a two-storey building in classical design, was built by Robert Kerr Chisholm in 1856, just east of "Erchless" the Chisholm family home. His father, Oakville founder William Chisholm, served as first Collector of Customs for this thriving Port of Entry on the "Sixteen".
