Copies of the programs and events guide are free and available for pickup at all Oakville Public Library branches, while a digital version is also accessible online via owww.opl.ca. · Kids: In addition to our popular book clubs and storytimes, OPL will host a variety of hands-on programs for curious young minds. For school-age children, the library will be hosting some exciting 3D printing workshops, Family Movie Nights, themed crafting parties and more. Interactive programs -- like Explore `n Play, and Tablet Time!-- offer preschool-aged children a memorable introduction to the magic of reading and learning. Stand-out March Break activities include How To Train A Lemur (featuring a real, live lemur) and an interactive magic show. · Teens: Teen offerings have expanded to include a revamped book club, multiple university and career preparedness workshops as well as opportunities to design and print 3D items. The library will also host its first Unplugged Coffee House, showcasing local talent by providing a space for teens to perform their music and/or poetry. · Adults: As usual, the library will host its sellout Books & Beer event (Feb. 20) where staff weigh in on fiction from fact -- novels inspired by real life events or people. Locally brewed beer and delicious pizza is included in the ticket price. Author visits for the spring/summer season include authors Priscila Uppal, Jeff Rubin, Crime Writers of Canada and MP Terence Young. A variety of new technology-based programs have been developed that will assist residents in improving their digital literacy.
