The midway reopened Sunday until 4 p.m., while the new car vendors were brought closer to the entranceway and beer tents. "The ribbers were still happy," noted Peden. "It turns out people will still stand in line in a torrential downpour for ribs." Nine ribbers once again vied for people's votes to be crowned best ribs and best sauce, including: Kentucky Smokehouse, Crazy Canuck Smokers, Tennessee Fatbacks, Boss Hogs BBQ, Jack The Ribber, Gator BBQ, Bad Wolf Barbecue, Route 55 and Pistol Pete's Smokehouse. Boss Hogs took home best ribs, while Kentucky Smokehouse reclaimed its title for best sauce -- last year, Kentucky won both titles. "Those two are always neck-and-neck. It was close...," said Peden.
