Regier, who hails from Windsor but has spent many years working in inte rior design in C alifornia and Vancouver, believes that the best way to avoid costly mistakes is to buy qual ity and rely on the expertise of a good interior designer. She has tried to bring that commit ment to quality to every accessory and piece of furniture in her store, from the classic teak garden furniture to the one-of-a-kind, giant-sized lavender topiaries that have become a trade mark. Because of her west coast experi ence, Regier has become a firm believ er in creating a seamless flow between the outdoor and indoor spaces o f a home. "Living out west taught me that you have to utilize your exterior space. Your balcony became an extension of your living space," she says. "W hat I try to create is a very tactile, lifestyle feel with a Zen-like simplicity."
