Seasonal favourites like `W inter Wonderland' and new Canadian works, such as `Chasing the Northern Light' will be complemented by inter national pieces and classic holiday songs to offer an eclectic concert. This award-winning choir boasts a repertoire ranging from contemporary to classical, and has recently released two CDs - `Home for the Holidays' and `Poets Philosophers and Friends'. The `W inter's in the A ir' concert takes place at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1 and at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2. Tickets are $17.99 and are available by visit ing or calling the Oakville Centre box office at 130 Navy St., 905-815-2021. The `Home for the Holidays' CD features a varied selection o f 15 songs, ranging from carols like `Away In A M anger' to popular classics such as `Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas'. Volunteers from Century 21 M iller Real Estate will be collecting donations o f non-perishable food for its annual food drive for the Oakville Salvation Army on Saturday. The volunteers, assisted by local high school students, Scout groups and families, will be col lecting donations door to door from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Century 21 Miller Real Estate hopes to collect enough food from over 41,000 homes to assist 1,000 families for about a year. Donation bags will be included in today's Oakville Beaver. Residents are asked to place non-perishable food donations into the bags for easy collection. Leave the bags outside where they can be seen from the road for pickup on Saturday, Dec. 1 Christmas food drive Saturday between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. If you do not receive a bag and would like to donate, fill any shopping bag with non-perishable food items with a note for the Salvation Army and place it outside to be picked up. Bags can also be delivered directly to the Salvation Army Citadel, 1225 Rebecca St. More volunteers are still needed to make this food drive a success.
