The list provides a glimpse of where tax dollars go by providing names and salaries of Ontario public sector employees earning more than $100,000 a year. Halton Healthcare Halton Healthcare once again topped the list with its President and CEO Denise Hardenne receiving $463,532 in salary and benefits in 2015. Halton Healthcare Chief of Staff Dr. Lorne Martin took home $427,475 while Microbiologist and Infection Disease Expert Dr. Neil Rau earned $307,323. Mayor Rob Burton Town of Oakville Town of Oakville, Chief Administrative Officer Ray Green took home $218,917 in salary and benefits in 2015. Political leadership did not translate into getting the most money with Oakville Mayor Rob Burton getting $187,675 (Town and Regional council salaries included) and Oakville Fire Chief Lee Grant taking Denise Hardenne home $174,334. Halton Region Halton's Police Chief Stephen Tanner received $289,180 in salary and benefits. Halton Region's Chief Administrative Officer Jane MacCaskill made $284,926 followed by Associate Medical Officer of Health Monir Taha, who got $262,316. Halton Police Chief Stephen Tanner Dr. Hamidah Meghani Halton Region Chair Gary Carr Jeff Zabudsky Region Chair Gary Carr took home $174,942 while Medical Officer of Health (MOH) Dr. Hamidah Meghani received $218,423. Sheridan College At Oakville's Sheridan College, President and ViceChancellor Jeff Zabudsky made the most with $365,534 in salary and benefits in 2015. The college's Vice-President of Human Resources and Organizational Development Stuart Miller Cathrine Berge came next with $236,500 while Senior Vice-President of Finance and Administration Steven Parfeniuk made $223,591. Not only post-secondary school public servants made the big money in 2015. Outgoing Halton District School Board Director of Education David Euale received $242,260 in salary and benefits while incoming Director of Education and past Associate Director of Paula Dawson Education Stuart Miller made $224,693. Associate Director of Education David Boag got $195,353. At the Halton Catholic District School Board, Director of Education Paula Dawson made the most with $201,675 in salary and benefits followed by Superintendent of Business Services Paul McMahon who received $179,301. Executive Officer for Human Resources Joe O'Hara received $166,694.
