RAIN OR SHINE! Oakville ANDREWS, Harold It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harold Andrews on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Ethel (68 years). Loving father to Heather (Murray) and Tina (Paul). Cherished grandfather to Aaron (Melania), Tanya (Shaun), David and Zoe, and great-grandfather to Mya and Caleb. Harold was born in Ogmore Vale, South Wales, and immigrated to Canada in 1957. He was a longtime resident of Oakville who also worked within our community. Harold was an inspiration to many and had a zest for life. We will carry on in Harold's example; working hard, loving deeply, and taking time to enjoy everyday life. He will be forever remembered by many relatives and friends in Canada and Wales. As a favourite Welsh poem says...To be born Welsh is to be born privileged. Not with a silver spoon in your mouth, but with music in your blood and poetry in your soul. Harold had a beautiful caring soul, and he will be forever in our hearts. Harold was laid to rest at the Glen Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery, Oakville. A service was held at Glen Oaks on April 11, 2016, followed by interment. Memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, in memory of Harold would be appreciated by the family.
