McWhinnie Visits of a missionary to Com munist dominated lands behind the iron curtain were described to the congregation of Central Baptist Church Sunday evening by Rev. John Thomas, D.D., F.R.G.S., British secretary of the Slavic Gospel Association, Chi cago. The speaker told of condi tions in the places he visited, and of his contacts with leading Communists. He related how he had overcome hostile opposition, and taken the Gospel to people from whom it had been kept by the policy of the Communist governments. Mr. Thomas, a friend of long standing of Rev. W. H. McWhinnie, minister of Central Baptist Church, had taken part in the missionary service in the People's Church, Toronto, on Sunday afternoon.
