Smart infrastructure event Nov. 25 Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) Oakville Chapter and the Oakville Chamber of Commerce will hold a Smart Infrastructure Symposium at the Oakville Conference and Banquet Centre on Friday, Nov. 25. The event, which runs from 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., will feature presentations by top business and industry leaders including: · Infrastructure Metrics with PwC; · Prioritizing Infrastructure with Hatch Ltd.; · Movement of Goods with CN; · Smart Cities and Intelligent Infrastructure with Siemens Canada Ltd.; · Digital Infrastructure & Communications with Cisco Systems Canada Co.; Invited keynote speakers include: · Federal Minister of Infrastructure and Communities Amarjeet Sohi; Ontario Minister of Infrastructure Bob Chiarelli; and Metrolinx CEO Bruce McCuaig. Organizers note with senior speakers from disciplines ranging from digital communications, energy, transportation, as well as senior government leadership, this symposium will cover issues facing Canadians for generations to come. The early bird rate of $50 is available until Monday (Oct. 31). After that, the cost of attendance is $75 for non-members, $65 for PEO and Chamber members and $45 for students.
