Police said that during the early morning hours of Monday, March 27, unknown suspects broke into a number of vehicles in a north Oakville neighbourhood. The areas targeted were apartment building parking lots located at 3 5 0 Lynnwood Dr. and 1260 Marlborough Ct. Police said that suspects smashed the side windows of locked vehicles and stole loose change, sunglasses and other valuables. A total of 12 vehicles were reported damaged. Police are reviewing all available surveillance footage from the areas in an attempt to identify the individuals responsible for these thefts. Area residents are reminded to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police as soon as possible. Residents are also reminded to remove items of value from their vehicles and utilize any existing audible alarm systems during the overnight hours.
