The collision occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m., when the pedestrian, walking north across Dundas Street just east of Post Road, was struck by an eastbound truck. The pedestrian was transported to Hamilton General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck, a 32-year-old Brampton man, was unharmed. The Halton Regional Police Service' s Collision Reconstruction Unit was called to investigate. As a result, the road was closed for more than five hours. Police say speed and alcohol are not considered to be contributing factors in the collision.
