The Oakville-based group's second annual Party with a Purpose fundraiser raised almost $90,000 for Halton seniors and caregivers. Held at the Harbour Banquet Centre, the funds raised by the annual event will go towards reducing social isolation faced by some seniors, providing support to those dying at home, giving respite to caregivers and helping older adults continue to live in their own home. Acclaim Health is a not-for-profit organization that provides home health care, dementia and caregiver support, volunteer visiting services, hospice and bereavement support, volunteer visiting and companionship, as well as palliative care education.
