10 Oakville Beaver Weekend Sunday, November 7, 1999 Library has 50 new computers Thanks to a grant from the Human Resources Development Canada Local Labour M arket Partnership, the Oakville Public Library will be rolling out 50 brand new computers systemwide. The first o f the new computers was in place at Central Library, Adult Services Departm ent on Thursday, Nov. 4th. The roll-out will be complet ed by Wednesday, Nov. 10th. The 50 Pentium II 350's with 64 MB of RAM will in some instances replace and in others add to the number of public access computers at each of the four locations o f the Oakville Public Library N Central, Glen Abbey, White Oaks, and Woodside. The new terminals will provide library users with increased Internet access and will feature a new-look customized library catalogue. Staff will be available at each loca tion to answer any questions you may have about the new Windows-based library catalogue or the new computers. Old catalogues will still be available at each location for those users who prefer them. The clinic is from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Calvary Baptist Church is located at 1215 Lakeshore Road West. A single blood donation can save as many as four different lives. Each component can be given to a different person N the red cells to someone undergoing surgery, the platelets to a person with leukemia, the plasma to a burn victim. Healthy individuals age 17 to 7with proper identification are invited to attend the clinic, the Toronto Blood Centre, which serves the Oakville area, needs to collect at least 650 units of blood per day in order to meet the needs of patients in 61 hos pitals in Central Ontario. I7th. While MacLean is best known as the co-host of Coach's Comer with Don Cherry, he has also served as the CBC host for the Summer and Winter Olympics.
