On that day, police officers approached a gold-coloured Ford 5 0 0 in the mall parking lot, which they allege was equipped with a stolen licence plate. Officers discovered a man asleep inside the vehicle and allege that when the individual awoke, he immediately started the car and threw it into reverse, colliding with a marked police vehicle. As the suspect fled the area, a second police vehicle was struck resulting in an officer receiving minor injuries. A high-speed pursuit ensued on the QEW, however, Halton police and the Ontario Provincial Police (O PP ) ultimately broke off the chase in the interest of public safety. An arrest warrant has been issued for Brent Zoschke. The suspect is wanted on charges of possession of property obtained by crime, two counts failing to remain at the scene of a collision, assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving while disqualified, and fleeing police.
