Today, David Roberts Food Corporation (DRFC) has grown to become a leading Canadian, award-winning supplier, importer, and processor of food products to the food service, retail, and industrial markets. "We were just three guys in our 20 s that met each other in the nut and candy indus try," said Merlocco. "We all worked for dif ferent firms, but we wanted to start doing something on our own, we wanted to do it for ourselves, so we started [the company] in '87." Many changes have been made since then; DRFC is now in a 125,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility.
