But he was persistent and the rest is history. They were married on th e banks o f th e R h in e in Bonn in 1962 and arr ived in C a n a d a a ye a r later. H e r h u s b a n d 's w o r k on O n t a r i o H y d r o 's n u c le a r p o w e r p r o g r a m involved consid erable transfers from one location to a n o th e r but a one-year p o s t in g in T o r o n t o p e rm itte d c o m p le t io n o f her Masters D e g r e e in Slavic L a n g u a g e s at U. o f T. They finally settled in Oakvil le and never left except to the fa m ily cottage on G eorgia n Bay at Cape Chin every summer.
