Brampton 5, Oakville 3 (Jan. 22, playoff): Oakville First Choice Haircutters Rangers underesâ€" timated Brampton in the first game of the playoff bestâ€"ofâ€"five playoff series and could not increase the tempo when they needed it. Oakville blew a 2â€"0 lead with 10 minutes to go, allowing five straight goals by Brampton. Notching the goals were Brad McDonald, Jim Romph and Kent Wallace. Assists went to Jesse Barlow, Kevin Gibbons, Kirk Joudrey, Brad McDonald and Kent Wallace. Oakville 7, Brampton 7 (Jan. 29, playoff): Oakville played catchâ€"up hockey for most of the game. The only lead they held was right at the end when they went up 7â€"6, however, they could not hold on. It was a penaltyâ€"filled game, especially by Brampton, but Oakville couldn‘t convert on enough power play opportunities. A 10â€"minute, suddenâ€" death overtime was supposed to follow but the refâ€" erees (who arrived 10 minutes late) stopped it with a tie as the final result. Oakville would have had a fourâ€"minute power play to start overtime. Notching the goals were Jesse Barlow (2), Jim Romph (2), Mike Dinner, Jeff Elia and Brad McDonald. Assists went to Joudrey (2), Justin Miller (2), David Pink (2), Wallace (2), Barlow, Dunn and McDonald. A’I‘OM HA“ The Bank of Montreal Rangers won three gamesâ€"in succession to eliminate Milton from playoff action. After taking Milton in overtime play in the first playoff game, Oakville continued the momentum with two weekend wins. Oakville 6, Milton 4 (Jan. 29, playoff): first period play saw Oakville tie the game in the last two minâ€" utes on goals by Greg Dodge and Jesse Robertson. Oakville also fell behind 4â€"2 in the second period but persistence and constant back checking by the team saw Matt Gregoire and Matt Edwards each count to tie it up 4â€"4 early in the third. Greg Dodge scored the goâ€"ahead goal and assisted on the clinchâ€" er by Christian Daniels. Oakville played shorthandâ€" ed for the final four minutes, however, great defence and clutch goaltending by Matt Dyer preâ€" served the victory. Assists went to Dodge (2), Amanda Joseph, David Rookyard, Josh Dixon, Robertson and Edwards. Oakville 6, Milton 2 (Jan. 30, playoff): Oakville used home ice to finish off Milton. Greg Dodge opened the scoring, unassisted. Andy Dold and Matt Edwards followed, with Jesse Robertson assisting on both. Amanda Joseph put in a star perâ€" formance with two goals, assisted by David Rookyard, John Whiting and Paul Thrasher. Christian Daniels also scored, assisted by Kevan McCulloch. Great goaltending by Lisa Robertson and Matt Dyer throughout the series contributed to the 3â€"0 sweep over Milton.
