U.S. tourney winners The Oakville Extreme U-17 girls rep soccer team took part in the Flagship Cup held at Edinboro University in Pennsylvania over the June 19/20 weekend. Outscoring the opposition 32-2 in the preliminary rounds, the Extreme faced two teams from Ohio and one from Pennsylvania, dominating play 10-0, 10-0 and 6-0, leading them to a showdown with a university development team from Edinboro. Edinboro opened the scoring but then watched the Oakville squad punch in six straight goals before the hosts added a late marker for a 6-2 final verdict. Goals were scored by Lisa Parry (7), Tanya Rank (7), Colleen Hawke (5), Erin Bowley (3), Andrea Lockie (2), Annemarie Silvestri (2), Lyndsay Barch (2), Stephanie Busuttil (2), Lindsay Campbell and Heather Sullivan. The Extreme would like to thank Lansing Build-All, Upton-Sullivan and Mr. and Mrs. McKenzie for their support. The Extreme are currently in second place in the prestigious OYSL league, having won last week's game in St. Catharines 3-1. Goal scorers were Lisa Parry, Colleen Hawke and Lindsay Campbell. They're Dynamite The Oakville Dynamite girls U-1IA rep team opened their season in impressive fashion, winning the championship in the East York tour­ ney. In league play, the Dynamite are 3-0-1. Their opening game was an 11-0 win over Flamborough and their only loss was to Niagara Falls, 1-0. The Dynamite followed up with a 5-1 win over North Mississauga and a 5-0 win over Cambridge. In League Cup action, the Dynamite advanced with a 2-1 win over Erin Mills. Over the June 19/20 weekend, the team showed well in the Burlington tourney. They won 10-1 against Burlington and 3-0 against Flamborough, tied Aurora 1-1 and lost 1-0, in an outstanding match, to North London. Coach Justin Ledressay has done a wonderful job developing the Tasac rookie ball team with an 8-2 record in their first 10 games.
