But then, they didn't have to put up with the messy rollers and paint trays that we do! However, here's a neat tip I heard of that should make your cleanup a lot easier. Before you start, place your roller tray inside a plastic shopping bag. This will act as a tray liner. Now, you can pour your paint into the tray and complete your masterpiece. W hen it comes time for cleanup, simply slip the tray out and throw away the invert­ ed, messy plastic bag. Presto...a per­ fectly pristine paint tray! W ant another handy • plastic bag trick? Good! Just slip the brush into a plastic sandwich bag, seal it and pop it in your freezer. And in closing, I 'd like to talk about that final cleanup, the one we all like to avoid. Especially, cleaning rollers. How many times have you just tossed that used roller away, rather than get­ ting down and dirty with the paint sol­ vents. Well, here's a handy hint I heard about. You know those long containers you buy tennis-balls in. Well, ju st pop your used roller into one o f those, fill the container with solvent, enough to cover the roller, close the lid tightly and give it a good cocktail shake. Let it set for a couple o f hours, give it a last shake and it should be ready for the final soap and water treatment! The Antique Show and Sale will bring together more than 30 select dealers and feature a large variety o f Victorian, coun­ try and antique furniture as well as antique glass and china - including deco­ rative Royal Doulton and Beswick Estate jew ellery, V ictorian linens and lace, kitchen collectibles and country acces­ sories will all be offered in the show and a unique selection o f rare music boxes and gramophones will be featured in one booth. The show will run from 6 to 9 p.m. on Fri., M ay 14th, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sat., M ay 15th and Sun., M ay 16th. Admission will be $4 for adults and $3 for seniors.
