Friday, April 9,1999 * ...... * A .s k th e My hair is always so dry and brittle. I use professional shampoos and reconstructors, but there doesn't seem to be that much of an improvement What can I do to make my hair healthier and give it more shine? A # If you arc using a reconstructive treatment every day... Stop! # Reconstructors are designed to be used once or twice a week, depending on the hair, not every day. Start alternating it with a moisturizing conditioner. Consider your daily routine. Do you use a brush or a comb to untangle your hair after a shower? A comb is better for the hair. Do you pull your hair back into a ponytail or a barrette while it's still wet? Do , you use a curling or straightening iron? How much chemical work has your hair had in die past six months, or if your hair is longer, how much in the past couple of years? These are just a few o f many possible hair hazards that could be causing your I problems. To get yourself back on track, make sure that your | hair products (from shampoo to spray) are ph balanced and good for your hair. Ask your stylist to j recommend something for you. And think about ] getting a tiny trim. ' ................................. "I agreed to buy the house three months * ago. I take possession next week. Can I • go back in and check that no damage has been done in the meantime ?" A There is no absolute right to re-inspect the • home before closing. It is a good idea; it could reveal damage that goes beyond "reasonable wear and tear," or evidence that the Vendors are taking the "built in" dishwasher. Have your agent insert a clause in the Agreement of Purchase and Sale that gives you the right to re-enter on 24 hours notice. Then inspect the night before or the day of closing. Your solicitor will have a much better chance of sorting out any problems to your satisfaction if they are caught before the Vendor has his money, as opposed to after! Smith "How can a single person meet * other single people without feeling • like a piece o f meat?" A I hear the same story when singles come to us so I know it's • true. Whether they go to bars or dances-the feeling for singles is the same. They have to create an "instant" image as if they're • a piece of meat on a platter that can be accepted or rejected It doesn't have to be like that. There is now a way single people can meet and mingle comfortably with other elite and unattached men and women right here. And there's no pressure, only the pleasure of good company and superb gourmet parties. My husband Mike and I own and manage the Single Gourmet in Oakville. The Single Gourmet mushroomed in New York and has spread to 18 cities across North America and our numbers are growing daily. When you're a member, you can meet a steady stream of other single people without any pressure. We present 12-15 events every month from hikes to dinner & dances. W hat's really important is that you're personally welcomed at any event you choose to attend in a manner that puts you immediately at ease. You belong! A Judging your health by how you feel is very dangerous.9 Symptoms are generally a warning sign that problems already exist In fact the first symptom of • heart disease is often a fatal heart attack. Remember, headaches, backaches, numbness and tingling are not normal - they are often the result of years of neglect. Chiropractors find the underlying cause of your symptom and correct it We don't use drugs to mask the problem, we search out the source. Numerous studies have documented the effectiveness of Chiropractic care. If you or someone you know suffers from a health problem, even occasionally, you should consult a Chiropractor. Colic, asthma, low back pain and headaches are just a few of the conditions that Chiropractic care has helped. Isn't it time to be healthy and not just symptom free?
