Erie, Ontario on January 19, 2021. He was not alone when he died peacefully with Frontal Temporal Dementia at the age of 69. Jeremy is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dede (nee Eleanor Diane Fryer); his sons Jack (John) and JB (James); his daughter-in-law, Naseem Awl; his grandchildren, Leila and Alia; and his brothers, Jonathan and Julian and their families. Jeremy was predeceased by his father John and mother Jean (nee Anderson). There is no question that Jeremy's life centred on love of his family. He was an avid walker and reader, he loved the beach and swimming in the sea and came later in life to enjoy playing bridge, golfing and scuba diving. Growing up Jeremy lived in Worcestershire, Belfast, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, Devon, Somerset, Middlesex, Dorset, Bristol and London. After articling with Howell Wade, Gray's Inn, London, England, Jeremy joined Coopers and Lybrand, Gutter Lane, London. From there he transferred to Coopers and Lybrand, Toronto, Canada where he was a partner for many years. Over the years, Jeremy volunteered his time to The Froebel Foundation, the Computer Auditors Association, St. Jude's Church, Appleby College, The United Way of Oakville, and the Niagara CPA Ontario Association. As dementia stripped away much of who Jeremy was, his essential kind, good-hearted, and determined nature remained - as did his loyalty, love, and concern for is family, friends, and colleagues. Jeremy's family is thankful for the Alzheimers Society, Queenston Place, Maple Park Lodge and the many family and friends who supported them on this journey. Private cremation and interment is planned at St. Jude's Anglican Church Memorial Garden, Oakville. Lenore was born in Hamilton to Mabel Mildred Hartley and Henry Earle Simpson. Devoted wife to Walter Secor Morrison for 50 years, who predeceased her in 2003. Loving Mom to Ann (Barry), Heather Fraser (Peter) and John (Cheryl). Proud grandmother of 5 grand- children, Mike Tufts (Katherine), Jordan Fraser (Jessica), Shannon Osunde, Adam Fraser (Stavroula) and Pete Fraser (Sarah) and 5 great-grandchildren Emma, James, Josephine, Isabella and Dimitra. Known as GG to the family, she was the life of the party and our centre. She was always up for an adventure and wanted to be in on all the fun! She lived an incredibly healthy 90 years and will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her. Born during the Depression, Lenore was an only child. She was exceptionally proud of the large family she created as she missed having no siblings or cousins to grow up with. In her early life Lenore was a Primary school teacher, sewing teacher and homemaker while she and Walter raised their family in Trois Rivieres, Quebec, and then in Oakville. They retired to Niagara-on-the-Lake where Lenore loved Grace United Church and where she sang in the choir. She also enjoyed singing with the Evergreen Singers. Blessed with a lovely voice, music was a big part of her life and she enjoyed playing piano. She was also a gifted seamstress, knitter and baker. She was an avid traveller having visited 45 different countries. She was proud to have earned her Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University at the age of 61. Lenore loved being a helper and enjoying life with her many friends and family. Mom had a deep faith which anchored her and let her enjoy life to its fullest. She brought a lot of joy to those around her. She was a wonderful Mom and GG and she will live in all of our hearts forever. She really did have a Wonderful Life! He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 68 years Christine, daughter Anne Bull (London) and sons Douglas Elliot and wife Teri (Fonthill) and Graham Elliot and wife Carol (Oakville). He was so very proud of his grandchildren Jonathan, Jillian and Yoshinobu, Jennifer and Aaron, Jaclyn and Kevin, Colin and Lenita, Andrew and Lucy, Christopher, David and Gordon. There was always a twinkle in his eye and a smile when he had zoom interaction with his great-grandchildren Emily, Claire, Lily and Charles. Alastair was a Professional Engineer (Mechanical), Alumni of University of Glasgow, who immigrated to Oakville with his family in 1966. He worked at the Atomic Energy of Canada and was instrumental in the wet lab research and investigative work of the early Canadian nuclear program. After retirement, Christine and Alastair moved to Belwood on the outskirts of Fergus. The Scottish heritage of the area was really appealing to them both. They were Scottish country dancers, lawn bowlers and active church members firstly at Hopedale Presbyterian Church (Oakville), where dad was an Elder and a tenor in the choir, and latterly at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church (Fergus). They opted for a retirement apartment in London and have been happy in their twilight years, where they have been blessed with good health. Alastair was a soft spoken, patient, kind, generous man who was both witty and smart. His family will miss him greatly. Post COVID, a family gathering of remembrance will be arranged.
