He is survived by his former wife, Wanda Hyland of Oakville and three sons, Christopher (Sandy) of Toronto, David (Vicky) of Montreal & Matthew (Alexandra) of Toronto. He was a proud grandfather to four girls who he adored; Florence, Meghan, Naomie and Madeline. His sense of humour was extensive and always brought those around him to burst out in laughter. He grew up in Coventry, England. After he married Wanda, they moved to Canada in July 1968. In October 1971, he and Wanda moved to Oakville, a town he would always call home. Throughout his life, he enjoyed many family vacations - usually where there was a beach. He always loved cars and motorcycles and his passion was evident as he rose to be one of the top salespeople for BMW. At every stage, he lived life and didn't spend time searching for the meaning of life, he always made sure he was creating the meaning. In the last 10 years he continued travelling to exotic destinations around the world and spent winters in Progresso, Mexico. The deep love he had for his family and friends, his zest for life, and his ability to find humour in everything served him well to the very end. We plan to have a Celebration of Life drink/ toast in Oakville in the future as per his wishes. Just in your judgment, always right; honest and liberal, ever upright; loved by your friends and all whom you knew. Our wonderful friend - that person was you. Gone is the face we loved so dear, silent is the voice we loved to hear; too far away for sight or speech, but not too far for thought to reach, sweet to remember you who once was here, and who, though absent, is just as dear. Pleasant in manner, patient in pain, our loss is your eternal gain. Your cheery ways and smiling face, are a pleasure to recall; you had a kindly word for each, and died beloved by all.
